GriefShare

GriefShare is held at the Othello Nazarene Church at 835 S 10th Avenue at 5:30pm on most Thursdays.  Enter through the door on the north side of the building facing the McFarland Jr High.  Contact Debbie for more information at (509) 750-9924.

GriefShare is a 13-week support group program that helps people who are grieving the loss of a loved one.  The program is based on Christian principles, but people of all faiths and those who are not religious can participate. GriefShare groups meet in person or online, and each session has a specific goal.

The program's goal is to help people learn how to cope with grief and gain support. GriefShare groups can help people understand what to expect in the days ahead, and how to deal with difficult emotions like anger, fear, and anxiety.

GriefShare is sponsored and hosted exclusively by local churches. The program is free to attend, but participants may need to purchase a workbook for $20. Church Initiative, a nondenominational, nonprofit ministry, provides free coaching for lay leaders who want to start a GriefShare group.
